Over the last 2 years, we’ve had to think laterally to come up with ways to help our clients stay connected to their customers and target audiences in the absence of face to face events. These are just some of the virtual reality solutions we’ve dreamed up and delivered during the pandemic.
A Virtual Reality version of an annual live event.
The Milwaukee Virtual Reality conference was a Global event for 5,000 targeted customers and partners from all over Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and the USA. The brief was that they wanted to replicate their annual live event whereby delegates could walk around a job site, explore all of their products, interact with sales teams (in 13 different languages), buy product, listen to presentations, watch demonstrations and interact with each other. They wanted it to be a fully immersive experience, not just a 2D XR studio. In the months running up to the event, we co-ordinated with product teams based in Germany, their EMEA marketing team in the UK and R&D teams in the USA. Our technical team created data centres in various locations around the globe to ensure the event ran smoothly over the 2-week period. To create the fully immersive experience Milwaukee wanted, we built them a bespoke platform using Unreal Engine which is a gaming software used by Epic Games to build Fortnite (which any of you with children will probably know well). The event was a huge success, with a total of 2,591 visitors and 15,122 individual visits to the VR hub. The data analytics built into the hub means Milwaukee can drill down into who interacted with what and the hub remains live with 2 factor authentication log-in so users can still access the content post event. You can see a video snapshot of this here.
Interactive webinars and webcasts.
For Ryobi we created this webinar which allowed users to get an update on company results, new product launches and a live Q&A with the speaker at the end.

Virtual Reality Tours
A 360 degree fully navigable virtual tour which could be of an operating theatre, product showroom, research lab, a building site, a manufacturing facility or the moon if you wish! The tours can have “hot spots” dotted around as users move around the tour (like Google maps) that users can click on to see or download information, watch video content or initiate a conversation with a sales person.

Virtual Version of your Exhibition Stand
Rather than being limited to a standard template offered by most show organisers, we can create a virtual version of your exhibition stand where the look and feel and level of interactivity is decided and controlled by you. The benefit of this is that it becomes a long-term marketing tool that you can constantly update and control, inviting attendees as part of your marketing campaigns, with tracking built into the platform so you can target users based on their activity.
